"THE CONCEPT OF LIFE AS AN INTRICATE WEB"... "There is no such thing as isolation; nature is a vast system of interlinking and ramifying coordinations. If one thread is pulled a hundred are shaken or loosened; the vibration is transmitted to the whole." ... INAGUA, Gilbert Klingel (1931) For the past 50 years the world's coral reefs have been in crisis. An estimated 25% of the coral structures in the world have already disappeared and an estimated two-thirds of all coral reefs are at risk today. Over development, pollution, overfishing, climate change, acidification of the ocean, and now nuclear waste are killing coral reefs. We have to do everything possible to restore coral reef ecosystems that have been in this world for millions of years yet now can disappear in a very short time. |
Projects & Concerns Past projects... have involved documenting the destruction of Florida's Everglades eco-system; evaluating Costa Rica's balance / imbalance concerning its natural environment; involvement with the "green" city of Austin's resistance to electric transportation due to protection of vested economic interests; researching the destruction of the coral reef & the ocean's Eco system and more. Current projects... are focused on bringing-on-line solutions to many of the world's environmental problems with the assistance of other nonprofit organizations. The ability to accomplish these tasks is achievable by what we refer to as "humanistic economics". Using business then dispersing profits in three directions; Social Sector Funding / Worker-Owner Reward / Investor Return.Current activity...
